Mass General Brigham is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics for a nursing job in Northampton, Massachusetts.

- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required - Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required - BLS certification required - ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer into position - NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer into position - STABLE certification is required within 90 days of hire and every 2 years after that - BSN preferred - Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred - Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required. - Additional unit-specific education and experience requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit. ** $5,000 Sign On Bonus, payable after your first 90 days of employment!! ** With a commitment to putting more Registered Nurses at the bedside, we are making it easier for you to be the nurse you aspire to be! This role, along with other newly created positions, provides additional Registered Nurses at the bedside, giving you more quality time with your patients. Designated a Baby Friendly Hospital, our Childbirth Center recently completed a comprehensive renovation which covered all areas of the center including labor & delivery rooms, postpartum rooms, and the nursery. Nursery renovations moved it to the Department of Public Health Level 1B, which will allow us to provide a higher level of care to at-risk parents and babies. The Registered Nurse directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The Childbirth Nurse provides family-centered care for patients with antepartum medical conditions, patients in labor, patients giving birth (vaginal and Cesarean-section) and their newborns, postpartum patients and patients with gynecological conditions. The nurse interacts with those of adult age on an inter-disciplinary level; s/he must be able to effectively interact appropriately to individual's intellectual level and physical ability. This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
