Position Purpose:
Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in outpatient Internal Medicine? Join our dedicated care team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. As an RN in our practice, you'll provide advanced clinical support to both patients and providers—triaging patient concerns, administering medications and injections, assisting with in-office procedures, and coordinating care plans. You'll serve as a trusted resource and advocate for patients and their families, offering education, guidance, and emotional support throughout their healthcare journey. Your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and collaborative spirit will help ensure our patients receive the highest quality care in a welcoming, team-oriented environment.
What You Will Do
- Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively.
- Communicates effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients and family members.
- Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
- Understanding of computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited R.N. program.
- Licensure: Current Connecticut R.N. license required; CPR required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
- Experience: Competent in a Windows-based computer system. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Multi-tasking, problem solving and decision-making skills required. Ability to organize, analyze and interpret clinical data. High level of dependability and accuracy required.
- Flexibility to meet the coverage needs of the department.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
